Attention Ladies (of all ages)

You are invited to a ‘Sole Hope Shoe Cutting Party’!In Africa many children get preventable foot diseases due to the infestation of jiggers. Jiggers embed themselves in the feet and lay eggs. Left untreated jiggers can lead to severe inflammation leading to the loss of toenails, amputations, and sometimes death. Shoes can make all the difference in a child’s life!

We want to help prevent these problems and will be having a Shoe Cutting Party on Monday, February 24, 7-9pm in the Warman Church dining hall. It is a fun night of tracing and cutting out fabric to help widows in Africa make shoes for orphans to prevent these foot diseases.

If possible please bring: fabric scissors, pinking shears (much needed), large safety pins, old blue jeans we can cut, thick cotton material that doesn’t fray easily, Sharpie markers and large (gallon size) freezer bags. Please label your scissors, shears and Sharpies.

If you could also bring a $10 donation that would be great (this goes to pay those Sole Hope employs for making the shoes). If you can’t bring a donation, please still come! Come for part or all of the evening, your time and help is a blessing!

For more information on the shoe cutting party please contact Lena Ens 239-4994 or Chantel Klassen 955-6610.
